Pontiac’s Firebird Trans Am, first released in 1969, steadily evolved into an iconic muscle car known for its powerful engines and flashy graphics. By the time this beauty rolled off the line, sales had soared. Beneath the iconic shaker hood with the “screaming chicken” graphics is the numbers-matching (VD 25N557158, BCN 500557) 400 V8 engine.
Additional features include the correct black trim (19), numbers-matching 4-speed manual transmission (CD 3/20/75, AD 5/2/75), power steering, power brakes, beefy Hotchkis Performance front and rear sway bars, a 3.08 Posi rear end (PW), a true dual exhaust system, a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo, and 225/70R15 tires mounted on classic Pontiac Rally II wheels.
Documentation includes the original window sticker, warranty card, and numerous receipts. We believe this outstanding example is an actual 31,641-mile car, supported by the car’s overall condition, original back and side glass (date coded April 1975), and the likely original spare tire (GR70-15, code 145).
